Triggers from different manufacturers—even if they were all made for Rem 700 actions—have different dimensions. That wouldn't be a big deal, but the differences are noticeable and, in extreme cases, can result in the action being incompatible with a trigger.

Nobody wants that, and nobody deserves it.

A trigger hanger, which allows the trigger position to be modified relative to the action, provides a remedy. The only disadvantage of some trigger hangers is that, depending on the design, they can increase the footprint of the action, meaning that some chassis can no longer be combined.
